We Race For Those That Have Less
Our team is 100% volunteer. This event is for those that are in need. Not ourselves!
Doomsday Racing was created in the fall of 2014 by a small group of runners. They saw a need for a relay to come back to Eastern Oregon and decided to take action! Their goal was to create races in which all proceeds would go directly to funding clean water developments, housing, and other basic human needs in unindustrialized countries. The plan was to create a race that in four to five years would make enough profit that Doomsday Racing could start donating money to organizations meeting our criteria.
The Inaugural Elkhorn Relay was such a huge success that Doomsday Racing was able to donate funds this year! A check has been cut for $500 and sent to Send Hope. Send Hope is another Non-Profit that focuses on providing care for children with HIV/AIDS and currently supports 200 children. The money will be used to assist one of their four HIV children's orphanages in India.
Doomsday Racing could not have done this without our many sponsors and volunteers! We would specifically like to thank our primary sponsor, US Bank, for their help in making this race successful. Together we are already making a difference and we are excited to continue our partnerships!
